It’s official! We’ve won the title of Sustainability Retailer of the Year at The Convenience Awards 2024
On the evening of 21st March, we attended the Convenience Awards ceremony in Manchester to hear the official results following our shortlisting news last December. We’re delighted to share that we’ve won this prestigious award for our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability and more specifically, the impressive work we’ve delivered around our Dodworth community store and its adjoining sustainable space in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
The Convenience Awards celebrates the achievements of individuals and organisations contributing to the advancement of the convenience industry. The Sustainability Retailer of the Year award acknowledges retailers' efforts to improve their environmental credentials, including energy reduction, waste management and sustainable packaging.
This award is a testament to our dedication to innovative, sustainable initiatives, including the installation of solar photovoltaic panels and our commitment to waste reduction, plus initiatives such as Sustainable Spaces providing green areas for communities to enjoy while promoting environmental education and awareness.
We continue to lead by example by prioritising initiatives that reduce energy consumption, minimise waste and engage with local communities.
