Fairtrade Fortnight is an opportunity to celebrate the impact that responsible, ethical trade can have and how working together, we can make a positive impact on people’s lives all over the world.
Fairtrade is a way of buying and selling where farmers and workers in developing countries get a fair deal.
We've supported Fairtrade for over 30 years, and through the power of cooperation, we're able to improve the lives of grower communities around the world as they improve our lives through the products we enjoy every day.
By responsibly trading we're ensuring a more secure future for global farming communities, and through your local shopping choices you are helping to improve lives and sustain the products you love.
There are many ways to get involved in Fairtrade Fortnight this year, so dive in!

Improving lives through the choices you make
One easy way for you to maker a difference is to pop into your local OurCoop store and shop from our extensive range of Fairtrade products.
From tea, coffee and flowers to chocolate, bananas and wine, you’ll find plenty to choose from and will know that you’re securing a fair price for the global farmers who grow the products you love.
But it doesn’t stop there, we’re improving lives across our family of businesses from the materials used in the Fairphones we sell, to the range of coffins we provide through our Funeral business, and even the care we take in our travel business to support local communities and promote responsible tourism.
Improving lives in Malawi
Our Malawi Partnership is built on cooperatives working together in the spirit of fair trade. This is the difference cooperation can make in improving lives.
Our partnership delivers true impact, from macadamia farmers to coffee cooperatives, every farmer is treated with fairness, demonstrating how meaningful, sustainable relationships are the backbone of lasting change.
We’re exploring new product opportunities including Malawian macadamia oil, honey and chocolate, which will provide further opportunities for members and customers to give support and in doing so, improve the lives of the farmers who produce them.
This year we achieved a major milestone when we facilitated the launch of a Regional Honey Cooperative Union in Mzuzu, Malawi. This had a meaningful impact on the honey sector, strengthening regional markets while driving national growth and ensuring fair treatment for farmers and workers.
