University research on Social Enterprise and Co-operatives shared from around the World.

An International Research Conference on Social Enterprise took place at Sheffield Hallam University.  This was an excellent event to see how research can influence practice.  There were many workshops from Applying the Fairshares Model, Social Innovation in Education and how other universities from around the world deliver courses on Social entrepreneurship and co-operatives. I had the great pleasure of meeting lecturers and practitioners from China, Belgium, Sweden, South Africa and Ghadah a co-founder of a social enterprise networking group for women in Saudi Arabia.  It was great to be a delegate from the UK Co-operative Movement and how we can all learn from each other to ensure younger people in the future are educated about co-operatives in their countries and how they help the world's economy.
