Southern MCC Support Macmillan Coffee Morning

Last Friday, we braved the wind and rain at our funeral home in Oxford to join with colleagues to raise funds for Macmillan. Hendred Street Funeral Home is on a busy road and thanks to the generosity of passers-by and cyclists stopping, we raised over £70 in cash plus on-line donations for this very worthy cause.

Donations from thousands of Coffee mornings over the UK help to raise vital funds for 3 million people in the UK living with cancer, from the moment they are diagnosd, throughout treatment and beyond.

The total funds raised last year was £18,041,302 which is enough to fund 288 Macmillan nurses for a year. Let's hope more money is raised is this year and the coffee mornings taking place across some of our stores and funeral homes really helps to make a difference.
