Shopping on a budget

Children from the Hasland School visits the local store to learn about shopping on a budget.  The students were put in groups and given a task of finding food for 4 adults for breakfast, lunch and evening meal on a budget of £20.   They were not allowed any pre-packed food, plenty of vegetables and fruit and learning about prices of different brands.  All the children did a fantastic job and came in on budget, on one group had one red dot in their basket, all the others had none, as they found alternatives.  The children enjoyed the experience and enabled them to all scan the products and round up on the till.  Megan from the store gave the children some key lesson in customer service.
