Parks Day with St Matthews Big Local

Over the summer holidays, the MCC, Retail and Funeral colleagues have been supporting St Matthews Big Local charity with their Holiday and Fun activities, aimed at ensuring that those children who usually receive free school meals during the school term, have access to good quality food.  On Friday 19th August 2022, the charity held a Parks Day, an opportunity for families to come outside and enjoy the local park.  There was music and dance competitions, bouncy castles, bike training and maintenance, stalls and fun activities for everyone, and 100's of families from the local community came out to support the day.

Colleagues and Southern MCC members were kept busy with both cooking and serving food and worked non stop for over four hours ensuring that the community were fed.  A small charge was made on this occasion to support St Matthews Big Local charity with fundraising.
