Fighting food waste with Olio

To create a sustainable Society for All, we're keen to reduce food waste in our stores. Building on our successful partnership with FareShare Midlands, through which we've redistributed over six million meals, we're celebrating a new partnership with Olio to help us continue to improve on our food waste reduction.

Following a successful trial, we're rolling out this initiative across our trading estate. Jump on the Olio app and grab yourself a free bag!

What is Olio?

Olio is a sharing app for local communities, making it easy to give away the things you don’t need to someone who would value them. Their vision started out as fighting food waste, but now it's working towards a world free from all kinds of waste. 

Less waste equals less damage to the planet.

At the end of each day, Olio's Food Waste Heroes collect unsold food and upload it onto the app for local communities to request and collect.
