The Eastern Membership and Community Council have supported over 1,200 children understand the importance of buying Fairtrade by delivering assemblies and workshops across the region; in the first week of Fairtrade Fortnight.
A few of the students got to imagine and create their very own Fairtrade chocolate bar, whilst being mindful of the social premium payments. we also discussed how important their decisions are as their breakfast can have an affect the whole world.
Our Council Members supported a Fairtrade wine tasting event in Wells-next-the-sea, a Fairtrade town in the East . With a great turn out, the Fairtrade message was supported by many in the town.
Woods Loke Primary school in Oulton Broad had an assembly on all things Fairtrade, supporting their schools ethos of being kind to everyone.
Ethical challenges have been hosted all over the East during Fairtrade fortnight, Brundall primary school enjoyed a visit to the store followed by a behind the scenes visit to the freezer.
