Fairtrade comes to a Stafford School

To start the new year I attended Silkmore Primary Academy in Stafford to talk to their Year 6 class about all things Fairtrade.

The Year 6 class with their teacher Mrs Powell have decided to complete a topic on Fairtrade, and they invited me in to talk about it. I explained to the young people what Fairtrade means and how it helps the workers and community in villages and towns of developing countries.

The Year 6 class are completing the topic this term, and have aspirations of making their school a Fairtrade school. I am looking forward to seeing how they progress.
