Our acclaimed Leicestershire Co-operative Brass Band created a special performance to bring some joy during lock-down. The Band put together a video recording of the Lou Read classic "Perfect Day" with each member performing their parts from home.
It's a great way for the band to keep in touch and play to their supporters by creating a "virtual" performance. It took a lot of organisation to make sure that all the players were playing in the same tempo, but fortunately one of the band members had set up their own recording company so expertly was able to put all the parts together.
The band decided to play "Perfect Day" as it is one they enjoy doing at events, usually on a band stand in a park, and singing is not usually associated with the band, but on this special occasion one member stepped up to the plate.
We are very grateful to the Leicester Mercury and East Midlands Today for featuring this and sharing this special performance.
You can view the performance on their Facebook page (Leicestershire Co-op Band).
