Central England Co-op Supports Tamworth School To Promote Wellbeing Champions

Recently the Western Member and Community Relations Officer James Knight joined forces with Progressive Sports and St Elizabeth's Catholic Primary School to promote Wellbeing Champions in school. The objective is to train students from each year group to help support and lead the message on well being within school.

Adam Shakesheave from Progressive Sports is leading the training of the selected wellbeing champions alongside school headteacher Michelle Walsh, with useful knowledge that they can pass onto other students within the school. The training and development of the program is focussed around being student led, meaning the activity that the wellbeing champions lead on has been developed from their own ideas, with recently included the creation of a LEGO club in School.

The Western membership and community council will be providing a Healthy Choices Workshop with James and also donating fruit for the wellbeing champions to give out as part of their work to promote healthy snacks.
