Celebration of Learning Event -Refugees and Asylum Seekers
On 7thJuly 2022, the Southern MCC partnered with the Workers Education Association & The Co-op Development Agency at the Women for Change venue in St Matthews in Leicester for a Celebration of Learning event. Asylum seekers and refugees, who had gained qualifications through courses offered by the WEA were presented with their certificates. The Southern and Northern MCC ran workshops on finance and healthy eating and provided lunch and snacks, and Dorothy Francis from the Co-operative and Social Enterprise development agency in Leicester presented a workshop on understanding your payslip.
