Badgerbrook school children visit our Whetstone Store

Last week we welcomed over 60 children into our Whetstone Store. The school have been bringing their children for a number of years now and we always enjoy their visits. For this visit, we delivered a mini healthy choices workshop on the shop floor, before setting the task for the children to find healthy and unhealthy food items, using our traffic light colours around the store. We then re-grouped and discussed what sort of foods are healthy and what sorts of food should be a treat, before having a tour of the warehouse and a turn at scanning on the till.

The children left with a goodie bag of items, funded partly by the store and partly by the Southern Membership & Community Council.
