Anti-bullying and Co-op Values Sessions

Anti-bullying and Co-op Values Sessions

During the second week of Co-op Fortnight, Funeral, Retail and the Membership & Community Council delivered anti-bullying and co-op values sessions to 180 children over two days.

The children were encouraged to talk openly about bullying, using some child friendly resources, and  the values sessions included British values in schools and how Co-op values are similar.  They were then ask to think about a time when they had demonstrated some of the values before finishing with writing about something they are proud of, something they are going to do differently, and what their big dream is.  They also took part in a healthy living workshop which covered the importance of eating healthily and exercise.

Donna Rood, Manager of our Desborough Store, Emma Webster, Funeral Director for Market Harborough and Desborough, and Andrea Rudge, Southern MCC member delivered some very powerful sessions and my thanks goes to each of them for their commitment in supporting the communities in which we trade.
