An Apeeling Fairtrade Fortnight was had in the West Midlands

This Fairtrade Fortnight lots of fun activity was had promoting all things Fairtrade in the region from coffee mornings to school assemblies.

We started the week with a Fairtrade assembly to over 250 primary school children who loved hearing about what Fairtrade means and how there is a fairtrade producer in the logo. We had sixth-form students come to our Lichfield store and film about how easy buying Fairtrade products was, and you can see their film here https://youtu.be/lIbNDEhJAb8

We held coffee mornings for our members and the community to taste Fairtrade products, school workshops & assemblies, visits to our stores, quiz night, as well as the return of our Annual Fairtrade tea-dance in Burton.

Fairtrade Fortnight is an important part of the calendar and highlights the great work in supporting farmers and producers in developing countries. To find more information on Fairtrade visit the Fairtrade Foundation on https://www.fairtrade.org.uk/
