You said, we’ve listened
Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your feedback, it’s great to see we’re meeting many of your needs, and where we can focus to be even better moving forwards.
An important part about what makes being a Member of a co-op different is the chance to have your say and shape what we do. You are owners of OurCoop and your voice matters.
Our recent Member Engagement survey was the first chance for you to tell us how we’re doing since we came together as OurCoop. We invited all Members to take part, and we were pleased to hear from over 15,000 of you – thank you!
Here’s what you told us . . .
75% of Members understand what makes co-ops different, with many Members resonating with being Member owned and sharing our trading surpluses back within our communities.

Most Members are aware of, and use FoodCoop, but awareness of our family of businesses is lower. Members have some awareness of our Travel and Funeral businesses but much lower awareness of our Early Years Co-op – Little Pioneers, EnergyCoop, BroadbandCoop and MobileCoop. So, we know we have work to do to improve this.
On the whole, Members are satisfied with Membership today: 67% satisfied
But there’s lots of opportunity for us to improve satisfaction moving forwards.
Members recognised our efforts on sustainability, and the opportunities to give feedback. However, only 32% of Members felt they have a say – something we really want to focus on as your voice counts!
At our recent Annual Members’ Meeting – the second half of the meeting focused on what we can do differently to create our community proposition moving forwards as OurCoop. As it stands, only 30% of Members see opportunities to get involved in the community, and 20% of Members say they find the events we offer today relevant to them. We know this is such an important part of Membership, and what makes us different so stay tuned for more opportunities to help us design what this looks like in the future.
We also asked Members about opportunities to invest in our Society, in particular, supporting initiatives that would deliver green projects. 26% of Members were interested in this, but it definitely piqued the interest of Members aged 18-44 (40% interested).
Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your feedback, it’s great to see we’re meeting many of your needs, and where we can focus to be even better moving forwards.
