Whetstone Co-op Host 60 Children

We were again pleased to invite nearby Badgerbrook Primary School back into store their annual visit.  60 children visited the store to learn about food labelling and what is behind the label, from the Fairtrade Logo, to One Water, to RSPCA and British Farm Standards.

Once the learning was complete, they had a sneaky look behind the scenes in our warehouse and even braved piling into the freezer which they loved!  They then went back onto the shop floor to take part in some of our fun educational activities from Fairtrade Snakes and Ladders Games to Healthy Choices Jigsaw Puzzles.  They were also given the opportunity to have a go on the tills, before leaving with a goodie bag.

It was an action packed afternoon, and we received a lovely email from the school informing us how the children had enjoyed the visit.
