We're finalists at the Personnel Today Awards!

We’re thrilled to share that Central Co-op has been shortlisted for not one, but two Personnel Today Awards in 2025! 🎉

We are proud finalists in both the Health & Wellbeing and Reward, Recognition and Benefits categories - a testament to the inclusive, purpose-driven culture we continue to build together.

Our nomination in the Health & Wellbeing category recognises the success of our We’ve Got You campaign - a holistic, inclusive strategy designed to support every aspect of our colleagues’ wellbeing. From free counselling and digital wellbeing tools to enhanced policies around fertility, menopause and mental health, this campaign has changed the way we care for one another across the Society.

In the Reward, Recognition and Benefits category, our work stands out for responding rapidly and compassionately to the cost-of-living crisis. With innovations like our Difference Maker Hub and the countless benefits that live on it, paid breaks and above real living wage pay, we’ve shown that co-operative values can drive meaningful change. From everyday savings and e-card recognition to tailored wellbeing tools and flexible working options, our approach goes beyond traditional reward schemes. Our colleagues aren’t just employees, they’re Difference Makers, and our strategy reflects that every day.

These award shortlists reflect the care, dedication and innovation of our teams across retail, funeral and our support centre. They also reinforce our commitment to putting colleagues at the heart of everything we do.
