Central England Co-op stores in Narborough Road, Leicester and Linden Drive, Lutterworth have relaunched.

Two Leicestershire stores transformed after investment of over £170k

Over £170,000 has been invested in giving two stores a major makeover in Leicestershire with both relaunching on the same day.

Central England Co-op's Narborough Road store in Leicester, and its Linden Drive store in Lutterworth cut the ribbon following extensive improvements for customers, members and the local community.

Narborough Road

The updates at the Narborough Road store include:

·       An updated product range to better reflect customers’ requirements including an improved food to go section

·       New internal signage and decoration

Store Manager Sam Clarke (pictured with her team above) said: “Through the pandemic it has been lovely to be able to be there to support our community and we have had great feedback from them that we have been a safe environment so it’s great to say thank you by having this investment in the store and in the community.

“It is a great boost for the team as well as we have had to develop a new team through the pandemic so it is exciting for them to be part of a new-look store."

The Narborough Road Food Store is open Monday-Sunday 7am-10pm. The store has a wide range of products from everyday necessities to something a little more special and also offers a lifesaving defibrillator, Collect Plus/Paypoint, Lottery, instore bakery and a free cash machine.

The Linden Drive store in Lutterworth now has:

·       An improved food to go section and extended chilled beers and wine range

·       New features including a brand-new Costa Coffee machine and Rollover hot dogs

·       New internal signage and decoration including a refreshed kiosk area

Store Manager Simon Goode said: “My colleagues and I are really happy with the changes. The range we now have is bigger and better, the new layout is great and the new features such as the Costa Coffee machine have gone down really well. It’s given everyone a boost after a tough time.

“The feedback to the changes so far has been really positive from our customers, and I would like to thank the community for their patience while the work has been completed."

The Linden Drive Food Store is open Monday-Saturday 6.30am-10pm and Sunday 7am-10pm. The store has a wide range of products from everyday necessities to something a little more special and also offers a lifesaving defibrillator, cash machine, Lottery, instore bakery and a customer car park.
