Supporting City of Leicester College

Last week, we supported an intergenerational evening at the City of Leicester College, to support parents and students attending the College to be safe and healthy on-line and whilst out and about. We teamed up with Nusrat Hathiari, Head of Partnerships at the Worker's Education Association, who talked about being safe on line. Emma from our Southern & Membership Community Council gave an inspiring talk on anti-bullying and how to remove yourself from challenging situations and Andrea talked about better life-style choices. I presented a workshop on understanding British values and Co-op values and why values are important to us from an early age and through our adult lives. Over 90 parents and children attended and we have been asked to return in September when the next cohort of students and their parents will be invited into the College.
