Starting the New Year with recreational activity is just the tonic for our members.

Northern Membership & Communty Council offer a number of member groups These range from Tai Chi in Trowell, Ilkeston; Dance in Eastwood; Art and Friendship Group, Men's Group in Chesterfield and in Derby we offer: Keep Fit Craft, Tatting, Art and Men Utd.

These groups are for members to either learn a new skill or just get together. They are a great way to enage with others and have a cuppa and a chat and learn something new at the same time.

This year we have started a new Art Group in Shelton Lock using the Insomnia Cafe and our Tatting Group use the community room in our Littleover Store.

These activities are like a prevention to support healthy mental wellbeing, to supporting people with balance, movement and co-ordiantion skills. The Art Groups are brilliant to be able to see people who have never picked up a paint brush to showcase their brilliant work.
