Revolver co‑operative is ranked number 1 in ethical consumer guide.

Revolver, a UK-based worker and farmer owned co-operative, is one of our original supplier partners providing special blends of ethical tea and coffee to Our Malawi Partnership.  They have worked tirelessly for many years to bring delicious, high quality, ethical tea and coffee to the UK whilst building stronger trading capacity and co-operative relationships around the globe.

We’re delighted to share that in this year’s Ethical Consumer Guide, Revolver was awarded with number one ranking in both their coffee and tea categories!

The Ethical Consumer Guide is an independent, not-for-profit, multi-stakeholder co-operative providing accessible tools and resources to help shoppers make informed and effective choices at the checkout. More here

Paul Birch, Managing Director of Revolver Co-operative said
We’re incredibly proud that Revolver Co-operative has been ranked number one in both coffee and tea in the latest Ethical Consumer guides.
It’s a powerful recognition of the shared commitment of our members, producers, workers and partners to build ethical, transparent supply chains that put people and planet first. Built on partnership from the very beginning, this achievement shows what co-operation can deliver when we work directly with producer co-operatives and invest in long-term, values-led relationships.
With Malawi at the heart of our award-winning tea through the Our Malawi Partnership initiative, and coffee sourced from producer co-operatives in Honduras, Peru, Cuba and beyond, we’re proud to be part of partnerships that turn co-operative principles into practical action and create lasting impact for farming communities.

Revolver currently offers approximately 45 products, including five different teas, and had been judged against their carbon footprint, quality of coffee bean, packaging, and ethical claims such as Fairtrade, gender equality or wildlife friendly, workers’ rights, organic certification, fair trade practices, and environmental considerations such as plastic in tea bags.

Revolver achieved an impressive score of 91/100 for coffee production and 95/100 for tea. A huge congratulations to the Paul and the team at Revolver for such a significant achievement.

If you haven’t tried their delicious range of teas and coffees yet, we urge you to pick some up on your next visit to an OurCoop store!

Also check out the wider Our Malawi Partnership range! You'll find ethical and high quality rice, nut mixes, water, and spice grinders that support trade and co-opoeration for smallholder farmers in Malawi.
