Nostalgia Day in Sawbridgeworth

Sawbridgeworth Local History Society organised its 14th Nostalgia Day, hosted by the Memorial Hall and featuring performances by Diverse Performing Arts and local singer Lisa Hammond. The event was also supported by Dorringtons, Central Coop Membership & Community Council and the Town Council.

The community of Sawbridgeworth gathered to mark the 80th anniversary of VE and VJ Day, as well as the 300 years of Rivers Nursery and to celebrate the continuing link between the Hall and RAF Sawbridgeworth, where wreaths were laid in advance of events at the Hall during a short ceremony led by Andrew Passfield and the Vicar of Gt St Mary's, Sara Batts-Neale.

Very many thanks for the COOP's support for the History Society's  14th Nostalgia Day. We raised £823 for the Royal British Legion.
