Narborough & Littlethorpe Walking Street Market
When the village that I lived in announced that they were holding a Walking Street Market to encourage the community to get out and about, Laura our team leader at the local store, and I thought this was a great opportunity to get involved and raise some funds for our corporate charity, Dementia UK. Our members had been busy making some lovely face masks from leftover material so on Sunday we set up outside the store with our Gazebo and sold face masks, held a raffle and a tombola and raised £125.oo for Dementia UK. Elaine, our Vice-Chair from the Southern Membership & Community Council, also came along to support too. It was a great feeling to be out after many months away and having the opportunity to talk to our local community about the benefits of our membership and how we have been supporting our communities through the pandemic. We had all our safety measures in place and we received some lovely feedback from our members and customers. We had a great day.
