MCC Support Rutland Fairtrade Christmas Market

The Southern MCC once again supported the Rutland Fairtrade Group's Christmas Market, held at Oakham Castle last Saturday. Despite the awful weather there was a steady flow of people attending who enjoyed the variety of stalls, all selling Fairtade produce and products.

Our stall was once again very popular with a choice of Fairtrade wine tastings, under the expertise of Geoff, a store colleague from our Burley Road Store in Oakham, who has a keen interest in wine. The wine was also accompanied by our fantastic range of Fairtrade Chocolate and feedback from shoppers was extremely positive on both the wine and the chocolate.

We also held a Fairtrade Hamper raffle with all proceeds going to the Samaritans, our corporate charity.

We also took the opportunity to promote our new APP and all the benefits of becoming a member and helped those not IT Savvy to download the App so that they can now enjoy the benefits of our membership.
