JOINING THE GENERATIONS CONFERENCE IS A HUGE SUCCESS

Last Friday, over 70 delegates attended our Joining the Generations Conference at the Salvation Army Centre in Leicester.  Following the success of the Channel 4 documentary "Old People's Homes for 4 Year Olds", this joint-initiative with Little Stars Nursery, who are based in Melton Mowbray, explored the benefits of inter-generational play and how Co-operative Values and Principles align to the business model.  Based on the relationship with Gretton Court Care Home,  the Conference covered an over-view of the past, present and inspiration for setting up inter-generational play, a case study on the health, well-being and benefits of the business model, an interactive workshop using examples of music and movement, how to create a safe environment, before closing with the vision, mission and inspiration to spread the joining of the generations.
