Eastern Fairtrade Round Up!

Eastern Fairtrade Round Up!

September has been a busy month for our Eastern Membership & Community Council. We have enjoyed every moment of sharing the great benefits of choosing Fairtrade as part of Fairtrade Fortnight "Do it Fair" campaign in a variety of events across the Region.

We supported the Fairtrade Group in Stamford with their delicious Fairtrade Cake Sale on the High Street.

"We had a successful stall on Stamford's busy Friday Market on 19th September to promote Fairtrade Fortnight - we handed out cakes, postcards and stickers, and collected signatures on a Fairtrade Foundation petition. And lovely weather too!" Jane Bateman Stamford Fairtrade Group.

Wells-Next-The-Sea Fairtrade group enjoyed a Fairtrade coffee morning, funded by our MCC who raised money for the local foodbank.

Our Members & Customers enjoyed Fairtrade Tastings in our Orton, Donington & Deeping Food Stores. Tasting our delicious chocolate, wine & Malawi Tea.

We delivered Fairtrade workshops to Lowestoft Library, Suffolk Sight support group, Suffolk-Me-Time, Loddon Juniors, Hunstanton Friendship Group & Godmanchester Scouts. The children enjoyed an assembly followed by mindfulness chocolate tastings. The adults groups listened to our presentation, watched a insightful film from Fairtrade Foundation & enjoyed Fairtrade chocolate, ice-cream, wine & Malawi coffee bags.

We hosted Fairtrade wine tasting & quiz in Lowestoft & Loddon for our members. Alot of fun was had, while learning the community impact is has had across the world when choosing Fairtrade.
