Community event for Accessible Belper

Central England Co-op’s Belper Supermarket will be holding a community event later this month to raise money for Accessible Belper.

The event will take place at the Strutt Street supermarket on Saturday, 24 August and activities will include a car boot sale in the store’s car park, art displays from Belper Arts Trail, cake stall, book stall, games and a fundraising raffle, while colleagues from our Funeral team will be joining with store colleagues to support the event and promote their services.

Heanor-based Jazzy gifts will also have a stall selling some of their products such as bath bombs, speciality soaps and oil burners.

Benefiting from the event will be Accessible Belper, which has received support from the Society previously through a grant from the Community Dividend Fund.

Accessible Belper is an initiative which aims to make Belper more accessible, through raising disability awareness, raising awareness of other life changing conditions, supplying staff training, advice and disability audits & guides.
