Colleagues and Members support Birmingham Pride
This last weekend saw Pride celebrations return to the streets of Birmingham. The event attended by colleagues and members of Central England Co-op to support the diversity and inclusion of our Society.
The event saw us join the Community Garden Green area to promote Central England Co-op, talk about membership and give out some goodies celebrating Pride which included sweets, key rings, stickers, pens and flower seeds. we also joined our friends from The Co-op Group on the parade through the city where we gave out stickers and flags to the public watching the parade.
A party atmosphere greeted everyone in the community garden space after the parade where colleagues and MCC members were chatting and talking to people about membership, ethics, fair trade and inclusion all things that are true to co-ops.
Samantha, Tom, Sunni, Cami, Nicola, Pip, Joe, Sue and Claire joined our Dyas Road store manager Dan, who lead the event and bought together a group of colleagues to celebrate and have fun promoting Central England Co-op. Shaz and Laurence from the MCC joined myself on the event to join in with the celebration.
Happy Pride
