A Shift at Newbold Verdon Store

As Membership & Community activity in the Southern region draws to a close in time for Christmas, I worked a shift on the eve of Christmas eve in my local Co-op Store in Newbold Verdon.  Stores are so busy with extra deliveries and members and customers shopping for their festive treats,  I decided to volunteer by being an extra pair of hands to help replenish stocks.  There is always a lovely atmosphere in store at this time of year, with the hustle and bustle and Christmas music playing, and it really was a pleasure to work with Dan Beere, Store Manager, and his wonderful colleagues.  You get to see just how hard our colleagues work to ensure that our members and customers have everything they need for Christmas. Everyone made me feel very welcome and a part of a team and I hope I am already looking forward to next year.
